To create a new Brief you must first have, or you must create, an Access Group. If you have not already created an Access Group for the new Brief use the User Manager tab in the top tool bar to take you to a page where you can create the Access Group. Use the New Access Group button.
When that has been done go to the task area called Brief Manager. Point the cursor at the Brief Manager tab in the top tool bar and left click. You will be taken back to the initial default screen that displays in a tool bar the New Brief button.
Click on the New Brief button and the screen will open up a page that requires you to fill in details of the new Brief, to select a template Brief structure, and link the Brief to one or more Access Groups. Members of the Access Group will be able to access documents on the new Brief according to their User rights.
After you have filled in and saved the required information the screen will default back to the Brief Manager task page. The new Brief will be displayed by the name you gave it in the Name field on the Brief details page. The name and details of the new Brief should appear on the Brief Manager page.
You should also see the names & avatars of the relevant Access Group and Users who will be able to access documents uploaded to the Brief.
